You were wonderfully designed to know God personally and build a relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

STEP 1

Realize you are a sinner.

Even when we strive to live our best lives, we all miss the mark of perfection. This is a natural part of our human condition. The Bible reminds us, "There is no one who does good, not even one." But with Jesus Christ, we can grow into the people God intended us to be.

STEP 2

Recognize Jesus died on the cross
for you.

The penalty for sin is death, but Jesus took that death upon Himself so we could be forgiven. The Bible says, “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” This is the Good News: God's immense love led Him to send His only Son to die in our place, even when we least deserved it.

STEP 3

Repent of your sin and head in a new direction.

The Bible instructs us to “Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.” Repentance means changing our life’s course. Instead of moving away from God, we move toward Him. By confessing and repenting, we acknowledge our need for His grace and forgiveness.

STEP 4

Invite Jesus Christ into Your Life

Becoming a Christian isn’t just about agreeing with a set of beliefs or attending church; it’s about welcoming Jesus into your heart and entering into a relationship with Him. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in . . .” If you desire a relationship with Christ, pray this prayer sincerely:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I now turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life to You. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
